Saturday, October 3rd, 2009 at the Lexington Opera House (corner of Short & Broadway in Lexington). For details

The 2009 Miss Lexington pageant was held November 1, 2008 at the Singletary Center
Recital Hall on the campus of the University of Kentucky.
Miss Lexington 2009 is Andrea Leigh Walker the daughter of Lindsay Walker and the late
Steven Roy Walker. She is from Wilmore Kentucky and attends Western Kentucky University. She sang "In His Eyes"
for her talent presentation and her platform is "GOLD" - Gift of Life Donation: Raising Awareness and Educating Others About
Organ and Tissue Donation.
Miss Metropolitan 2009 is Erica Canfield the daughter of Rev. Jeff and Tonna Canfield
of Ashland. She is a senior at Fairview High School and performed a lyrical dance to "Purple Rain" for her talent.
Erica's platform is Changing Lives - the Influence of Volunteerism.
The 1st runner-up was Courtney Norvell; the 2nd runner-up was Kelly Casey; the 3rd
runner-up was Blaine Menke and the 4th runner-up was Leslie Neeley.
Lacey Simonson received a $100 Advertising
Scholarship and the remaining contestants were Shaina Esser, Daniela Gaskie, Christi Harnish and Megan McKay.

The Miss Lexington pageant was recognized at the 2008 Miss Kentucky pageant as having
the highest cash scholarships, highest in-kind scholarships and best pageant production in the state.
